I purchased the new Barry M nail effects in white yesterday. They had the blue and pink one there too, but I was very good and just bought the one. I'm thinking this will look cool over pastels for spring and summer. Over the weekend I have been wearing 'four leaf clover' by china glaze which is really bright green. I tend to wear this when my poor little nails all snap as it is about the only brightly coloured nail polish I can face wearing when my nails are short. Weird but true.
Anyways onto the notd - notice the 'white' nail effects has actually turned YELLOW when I applied it! Why is this? I waited for the green to properly dry aswell. Oh well it's not too bad. I'm still not in love with these shatter type polishes, but I do like this white one better than the black one. I'll probably give it one more chance over a pastel nail polish before I make up my mind.
My nails all snapped! :(

So what do you think? Love or loathe the shatter/crackle nail polishes?
Thankyou for reading

I haven't bought one yet, but it looks really cool! :) X
ReplyDeleteI love the black shatter, but i've never tried the white! The yellow actually looks great over the turquoise haha! :) xx
ReplyDeleteI really want China Glaze Four Leaf Clover! x
ReplyDeleteThe yellow really goes with the green. I bought the pink shatter and I'm not really loving it but maybe I just need to experiment with different base colours to see what looks good with it.

The white is probably quite a thin liquid which is why it turned that colour, be interesting to see what colour it turns over other shades.
ReplyDeleteI saw Pink and Blue crackle polishes in Superdrug today, from Barry M, but I didnt get them as I'd rather a silver colour.

i still can't make my mind up about the shatter polishes, i go through stages of loving them and loathing them! x
ReplyDeleteChina Glaze Four Leaf Clover is gorgeous!! But I've not caught onto the crackle effect polish...I'll probably end up loving it when it's not fashionable anymore.x
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until payday. I think the Barry M counter will be the first place I go. I really want Peach Melba too. xx
ReplyDeleteThat is a bit strange- maybe it's because it is sheer and the green came through? But otherwise, I'm looking forward to trying all the colours! xxx
