China Glaze 'I choo choo choose you' NOTD - All aboard collection

I love nail polish, I must have close to 200 bottles of the stuff but it's not very often that I hunt for it. If it's not in the shops, I'll just end up forgetting about it because postage is scandalous nowadays.

I Choo choo choose you was love at first sight though and after seeing it on MissBudgetBeautys Instagram I simply had to have it. It's my perfect Autumnal shade and although it doesn't really translate on the pictures it suits my skin tone really well which can be difficult with this dirty murky type colours.

I found it online for a bargain £3.99 with free postage and it only took two days to arrive.

Natural lighting, 2 coats.

The colour is so hard to describe but I will have a shot anyway and say.... it has kind of a taupey base with a heathery purple duo chrome and gold shimmer running throughout. It is truly stunning and unique. Infact, I reckon you'd be hard pushed to find anything close to it in Boots or Superdrug.

Definitely going to purchase some more polishes from this collection this week.

Have you tried I Choo choo choose you?

spring nail polish favourites♥

I am really loving bright colours for my nails at the moment. I would normally wear pastels throughtout spring and then the brights in the summer, but for some reason I want to wear brights now and I am absolutely loving it.

These are a few of my favourites, which I seem to be wearing alot lately.
L-R
China Glaze 'light as air', Barry M 'pure turquoise', No7 'spice', Models Own 'sophies pink'
Not pictured Illamasqua 'radium' swatches here.

China Glaze 'light as air' is a beautiful milky lilac. I bought this last year, but had hardly worn it as I find these pastel polishes so hard to apply as a simple mistake/smudge looks a million times worse in my opinion. It has a lovely consistency, not too thick or thin, and it is fully opaque in 1 coat.

Barry M 'pure turquoise' is a turquoise obviously. There is nothing mega special about it. I just like it. Like all Barry M polishes, it applies nicely and is very affordable and easy to find. Also looks gorgeous with a tan!

No7 'spice'. I raved about this a while back, and yes I still love it as much as I did back then. It is one of the most perfect milky coral/pink polishes I have ever found. It is a fab shade for spring/summer and again.. will look amazing with a tan (which I don't have hmpff!).

Models Own 'sophies pink'. This is hands down my favourite models own polish. It is very bright almost neon in certain lights. I actually wear this all year round, I don't care if people think I'm mad. I don't really 'do' pink polishes, but I just love this one for some reason, definately recommend it!

Illamasqua 'radium'. I did a whole post about this nail polish here, with swatches so check that out if you like.
and finally as I wasn't going to keep all different coloured nail polishes on one hand, I figured I might aswell apply the Barry M nail effect in white over top, which I blogged about a few days ago.
I like it over 'light as air' but I really don't like it over the other three.

What do you think?

china glaze 'island escape' summer collection♥

All images from Temptalia.

I just popped onto Temptalia to see if there were any swatches of the 'quite cute' collection and got distracted by the new China Glaze 'Island Escape' summer collection.
 I am officially in love!

I am all about the bright nail polishes at the moment. I've been rocking Gamma and Radium from Illamasqua's toxic nature collection for a week and a half, and I've been thinking about purchasing some nail polishes from last years China glaze summer collection (poolside I think?), which had a tonne of bright/neon shades. I don't need to now though.

I definitely have to get a few all of the shades from the new summer collection - they just yell summer when you look at them.
Electric Pineapple, Blue Iguana, Senorita Bonita
108 Degrees, Papaya Punch, Cha Cha Cha

Aren't they beautiful!?!

My favourites have got to be..
Electric Pineapple! wow! Just WOW! This is the kind of nail polish I have wanted in my head for ages!
Senorita Bonita - This looks beautiful and I love the little gold flecks running through it.

Cha Cha Cha - I am attracted to anything chartreuse, so it comes as no surprise that I love this!

Those are my favourite's, but there are three more...
Papaya Punch
108 Degrees
Blue Iguana

So what do you think? Do you think you'll purchase anything from the 'Island escape' collection. I must admit, I don't really get excited about new nail polish collections (except toxic nature) but I am really excited for this one, and I can imagine I'll have to be dragged out of the shop to stop me buying the whole lot!
