barry m - instant nail effects white♥

I purchased the new Barry M nail effects in white yesterday. They had the blue and pink one there too, but I was very good and just bought the one. I'm thinking this will look cool over pastels for spring and summer. Over the weekend I have been wearing 'four leaf clover' by china glaze which is really bright green. I tend to wear this when my poor little nails all snap as it is about the only brightly coloured nail polish I can face wearing when my nails are short. Weird but true.

Anyways onto the notd - notice the 'white' nail effects has actually turned YELLOW when I applied it! Why is this? I waited for the green to properly dry aswell. Oh well it's not too bad. I'm still not in love with these shatter type polishes, but I do like this white one better than the black one. I'll probably give it one more chance over a pastel nail polish before I make up my mind.
My nails all snapped! :(

So what do you think? Love or loathe the shatter/crackle nail polishes?

Thankyou for reading
xx

p.s you can enter my MAC giveaway here. Not long left now.

  7. The yellow really goes with the green. I bought the pink shatter and I'm not really loving it but maybe I just need to experiment with different base colours to see what looks good with it.

  8. The white is probably quite a thin liquid which is why it turned that colour, be interesting to see what colour it turns over other shades.

I saw Pink and Blue crackle polishes in Superdrug today, from Barry M, but I didnt get them as I'd rather a silver colour.

  11. I know it turned yellow on the nail but I'm loving the colours together all the same, really cute! Such a shame your nails broke, won't be long till they're back though. :0)

I reckon it could've turned yellow because the pigment in Four Leaf Clover is partly neon which has issues of it's own. Try over other colours and see if its the crackle that's the problem?

  14. That is a bit strange- maybe it's because it is sheer and the green came through? But otherwise, I'm looking forward to trying all the colours! xxx

  20. It's a bit annoying that it turned out yellow, I wonder why it did that?
I love the crackle nail varnishes and really want to try out the white one to see how it is. I also want to try the models own ones why they come out as well xx
